Support That Makes a Difference
Substance Misuse
Research indicates that they majority of people who rely on a substance, have underlying mental health issues or emotional difficulties. People who misuse drugs or alcohol often do so as a way of coping with experiences, memories or events that emotionally overwhelm them. We specialise in identifying the underlying issues that contribute to substance misuse and our team of experienced Counsellors are able to help resolve those issues and improve emotional health. It is this work that makes successful long-term recovery possible.
Eating Disorders
Eating disorders vary in severity from mild to extreme. These disorders may range from irregular eating patterns, such as yo-yo dieting, through to recognised eating disorders which may become life threatening. Eating disorders usually start as a way of coping with emotional issues such as depression and anxiety, but in time they create more problems than they solve. Our work is focused on the improvement of emotional well-being and the development of practical coping skills.
Relationships
Most of us have relationships with parents, children, siblings, friends, work colleagues, etc. If you are struggling to maintain a healthy relationship and would like some professional assistance to improve the situation, then we can help. Many services offer relationship counselling for partners, but we understand that there are many other relationships that could benefit from counselling.
